svc testimonial

Adrienne Earls, manager at SVC says:

"Shiny Happy People caught my attention through their mum & baby singing groups. I watched a live session they kindly shared through social media at the start of the UK lock-down in March 2020 and it filled me, and my little human with such joy. But that made me wonder, why keep the joy for just the little people?

I then approached Stef and Kate to enquire whether they would consider doing some similar sessions for adults with disabilities? To my delight they agreed. Lots of the beneficiary groups we work with at SVC find such happiness and pleasure in music, an opportunity to sing and dance – and see friends too! But I have to admit, with Shiny Happy people, it is much more than the music they play, and the song requests they kindly take, it is them as people.

Their sessions can be pre-recorded to fit your needs, or live. We prefer the live sessions as our beneficiaries love to chat to the SHP ladies. They sprinkle a bit of happy dust wherever they go, and honestly leave you feeling brighter and happier. It’s been a tough time for so many, but these ladies certainly help to make some fun memories and bring some positivity into our lives.

Since 2020 we have been fortunate enough to have the SHP ladies undertake numerous digital sessions for us, tailoring to the needs of our different beneficiary groups. Including a spooky Halloween session for a digital party for disabled adults. A disco session for young people with down’s syndrome. Several live sessions for adults experiencing homelessness. Weekly live digital sessions for adults with learning disabilities or mental health conditions. We are so grateful for the entertainment and laughter they have given us, and look forward our future together.

Big thanks and love from everyone at SVC."
